When building from source for the first time, it is easiest to run the blds/bld_prepare.sh script in order to ensure all of the necessary system packages are already installed. The distro option to this script has had the following choices:
centos | suse | ubuntu | fedora | mint | debian | arch
As these operating systems are upgraded, version numbers of some of the packages may need upgraded also. Currently, the newest and/or upcoming distro upgrades for debian and ubuntu have slightly different package requirements. Therefore 2 additional options have been added to accommodate this with the plan to change the option names in the future. These options are now:
debian-testing | ubuntu-testing
