Hi, my dear Cin developers
I'm playing with Title/text plugin. It is a wonderful and easy plugin to work with.
On the other side, as all you know, a lot of youtube videos and even broadcast tv make use of annimation text in its lower thirds.
This text ussually comes and go with a little solid background to facilitate the wiewer's reading.
The Cin title/text plugin has one option to get a background to fill the text plugin, but unfortunately this bakground fill the entire video and not only (or at least I can't figure how) the text.
I think that will be wonderful to animate text with a solid background rectangle as easily as we can move and animate the text.
Of course, I know that there is a lot of possibilities to have this text-background moving together implemented in Cin, for example with gimp to have a background with transparency (or even solid) and the position/crop plugin etc.
Anyway I think that will be a very nice feature to add to this wonderful plugin. By the way I love (inter alia) the text blinking feature...
Thank you
Armando
If you enable the "Drag" mode, a box with handles appears with which you can resize to the desired size. You can also use in W and H fields to numerically set the box precisely. At this point the image you set as background will only affect the box you created and not the entire frame. You can't do rotation.
See the video:
@andreapaz   Great video!
@armando     Because I am lazy, I just cheat and set the "Outline" box to a large number; for example for a 1440x1080 video, I set it to 30.0 and then change the "Outline color ball" to a good contrasting color.
" Great video!"
Not so great! I forgot to show that by dragging the central knot we can translate the box in the desired position...

Great, great...thank you so much. I'ts just what I was looking for.
And again, it's amazing what this software can do so easily.
And I'm impressed and very grateful to all of you helping people....
🙂
Nice trick. Love it. Quick and dirty but gets the job done.
Tank you so much for the tip.
