Hi there and a happy and a hopefully more and more normal year 2021!

I just found out, that the latest single user builds are stuck at 2020-10-31. I am wondering if that's a bug or a feature. Due to the unplannable updates of libs in Archlinux they are the best way for me to keep cingg predictably startable. Will they come back?

All the best,

Achim

Best way is to build it for Arch using the instructions in the manual.  Andrea_Paz does this  routinely and can probably help if you get stuck.  Once it is setup, it really is quite easy.

Will they come back?

Maybe occasionally if help arrives; but GG used XEN to automatically create all 17+ distro set of tarballs and packages in a 4 hour time period.  Usually some had to be hand-rolled if they failed in the automatic procedure.  This is currently quite far beyond my capability.  There has been some $ set aside to do this in the future should a capable builder become available here locally.

@PhyllisSmith,

Thank you for your answer. I have read the note about the passing away of GoodGuy the last days - it made me sad.

I am sure I will get the build running and if you like I can offer the single user build for others to download. I have no idea, how much they will trust an unsigned build... But maybe it helps.

Cheers and thank you all for keeping cin-gg up and running.

Sorry to intrude on the conversation. Perhaps it would be easier to understand the possibility of making a single compilation in flatpak and in this way it works in the vast majority of distributions. The problem is that I don't know how to do this.

@phyllissmith

Thank you for offering AppImage releases now! I tried to compile cingg but at the end I failed with a 56kb file after 10 minutes of compilation. Then I had to give up my plan due to other projects I had to finish.

The AppImage releases work very well! Thank you so much!
