@Sam
Of course you can wish for that, there is no doubt about that at all. However, the large number of bugs and suggestions for improvement that I have pointed out follow my criteria for prioritization. Should they first be worked through and answered to the still open ones. Of course, what I include in discussions can be used. But I don't see any obligation. Something else is your concern about the SEO. One must be able to find favor with the thought behind it to lead future discussions SEO-Optimized.

Interesting silent movie, working as "root", trying to enlarge a static window and error messages that pop up like spam.

If the option "--enable-x265_hidepth" is used in Cinelerra, then FFmepeg/x265 is built in 10bit, nobody has denied that. But the output of the videos will be in 10bit. Even when using an explicitly used "yuv420p".

Either
Cinelerra-GG: x265 [info]: build info [Linux][GCC 8.3.0][64 bit] 10bit
or
Cinelerra-GG: x265 [info]: build info [Linux][GCC 8.3.0][64 bit] 8bit

Compared to that:
Distribution: x265 [info]: build info [Linux][GCC 8.3.0][64 bit] 8bit+10bit+12bit
The alpha version of Olive with built-in FFmpeg can also handle all bit depths, btw.

Actually I should call now to come back to the topic, but that makes no sense anymore.

@andreapaz, I will continue to follow it offline.
