Hi all.

I'm an audio-linux enthusiast being an admin for linuxmao.org (a French audio linux community) and the main dev for LibraZiK (an audio linux distribution), and a contributor to many projects (mainly) in the linux audio area (a list of projects I've been contributing to is available here).

Just registered to the forum since I'm planning to Frenchize the cin-gg website.

Trebmuh -- WOW, you are all over the place!  I especially like the Tutoriels and Doumentation pages at LibraZiK.  But what is that picture with a face looking or talking at something on yellow tiles?

Thank you Phylis.

About that picture, it's coming from an old (maybe around 20 or 25 years old) TV advertisement for the Kiss Kool candy where a guy was crawling on the desert, close to dying, and then he ates a KissKool candy. The first KissKool effect was he was refreshed, and the second KissKool effect was that a map panel was growing up from the sand, indicating him a "you are here" in the middle of the desert. I don't know if this ad was only in the French speaking area or worldwild. Anyway, you can see it here .

Why did I choose this as an avatar? ... probably because of the face I had when I tried to understand the linux audio stack! 😎

Hi!

Great to have another "Distributor" here! It would be nice to see Cin-GG get its rightful place in all Multimedia-centred Linux distributions. Great work on LibraZik as well! It's very well spoken of on linuxmusicians.com and elsewhere.. 😎

Thank you Glenn. And congrats as well for AV.

For information, I've a working Cin-GG package in the testing phase since a few months now. It was ready before the split/fork/whateveronecallsthat between -CV and -GG and, to be honest, I was waiting a bit for things to settle before pushing anything on the LZK-2 side. I've been following development on the -GG side since then and I now think that -GG is well set up. Hence my proposition today to translate the website into French, and probably other stuffs to follow.

Welcome from me, too.
I don't know anything about audio at all, so I wanted to ask you about how CinGG handles it. Strengths, weaknesses, shortcomings?

Thank you Andrea.

Last time I used cin-gg, it was all good for the little things I did and I was very happy to see that CinGG was able to work with LV2 plugins.
