Using release 20240131 (on MXLinux 23.1, although being an Appimage that shouldn't matter), when adding Colour3way to the timeline the image disappears from the Compositor Window and the videoscopes cease to work. It doesn't matter where in the effects stack it is positioned. Disable it and the image reappears. All other effects I have tried so far are satisfactory.
Color3way was recently patched to support HDR data, perhaps this introduced problems. Everything works fine in Arch: I've tried both x86_64-multibit and regular x86_64. Can you try running the appimage from terminal, to see if it reports errors? Also try setting up X11 and then X11-OpenGL; the various 8-bit or float color models; and finally, remove/put the smooth option in Videoscope.
Hi Andrea, thanks for replying
No errors reported running from terminal.
Tried all the Video Driver options, no change
Scopes Smooth on or off makes no difference
Since my original post I have changed to Linux Mint, but not because of this. It is the same.
Maybe it is a stupid test but, have you tried using the Reset button in the three sections, Shadow, Midtones, Highlights?
Thanks Igor.
The only stupid test is the one you didn't do and I didn't do this one. It solves this problem, but throws up another one. If I move the Shadows Value slider to the left, by the time it reaches 0.006 the image is almost totally black, which makes it totally useless.
It would be best if you revert to the November AppImage until a solution is found.
I guess we will have to back out this Color3Way and Histogram mod until we understand the problem -- Andrew R concurs.
@DeJay Could you check in Settings->Format... ?
I guess that "Color model" is set to RGBA-FLOAT or RGB-FLOAT. Could you try that changing to RGBA-8bit or YUVA-8bit, please?

Only Andrew-R and andreapaz know. Sorry.
In both RGBA-8bit and YUVA-8bit it works as it should, all settings tested, in case that helps, bearing in mind what Phyllis just said. FWIW the video input is 10-bit.
I have no objection to removing the HDR patches.
PS: @DeJay Where do you see the value 0.0006 from?
I confirm the problem. The color wheel also behaves the same way, while the saturation slider works normally. Midtone and Highlight work normally.
Disappointing to have to backout this mod, but reverted Color3way, Histogram, and Overlayframe.h this morning. I think it is so close to working and maybe now that Andrea can recreate the one error, a minor tweak can be found.
Backing out the mod just indicates it is out of the GIT source control - no new AppImages were created.
I just re-downloaded and tested, it is the same. Is the reverted version waiting until the end of the month for release?
Sorry, my backup comment was misleading -- it just means it has been removed from GIT source control. It is quite a lot of work to create new AppImages, so I did not do that since they will be recreated Feb. 29th anyway. So for users of CinGG, it is just much simpler to use the previous AppImage.
@DeJay . Like wrote PhylSmith2004, Have you tried the November Appimage?

Thank you both.
