Hi, everyone..

I've checked as my time format in settings-> preferences-> Appearance -> time format -> Hours:minutes:secodns:frames, but when I type g or click the goto icon I only have the possibility to go to Hours:minutes:seconds:milliseconds...

Any idea?

Thank you

Armando.

Hmmmm, I never thought of this before but you are correct.

Easiest way, and maybe actually quicker, to get to hhmmssframes is to type in where you want to go in the "Selection start time" in the zoom bar on the second to the bottom line on the timeline with the boxes -- it is 3 boxes from the right hand side (you will see the tooltip when your mouse hovers over that box).  If you do not see what I mean, please reply.

There always seems to be more than 1 way to do anything in CinGG!

Hi, Phillys. Tanks for your quick response. Of course you're right, I can go to  min/sec/frames clicking in the rightmost third box in the bottom of the timeline...

Anyway it has not the same funcionality as clicking the goto icon or pressing the g, keyboard. First of all it is important that the rightmost second box show 00 in all it's fields, or it selects a portion of timeline by the amount time that shows that field. Not so problematic to deselect, but...

For me, the most important difference with goto button is that the change of value on the third rigthmost bottom box doesn't move-refresh the timeline to position the cursor in the middle of timeline as goto does.

A workaround for that is to push the arrow up or down to refresh...

Anyway it will be nice that (if possible), anytime in the future the goto button reflects the preferences settings to move precisely in the timeline.

In the meantime I will use, your workaround, Phillys .

Thank you, so much, again.

Armando

P.S. Perhaps this little things may seem unimportant, but at present I'm sharpening my Cin ax to be able to cut and assemble a lot of videos in the future in the shortest possible amount of time. In 2018 I mounted more than 500 videos for my learning magic platform ( kdenlive and Lightworks).

And believe me, this little things make the life easier.  🙂

GG will look into a solution tomorrow and see if easily possible.

Yes, it is the "little things that make life easier"!

@armando

There will be new builds available around October 31 that include improvements to the GoTo menu that should solve this issue.  I think you will like it as now the menu is a lot more robust.  Attached are 2 views showing the additional pulldown options.

Really impressed and practically in no time. Amazing. And very complete the dialog box.
Impressed again. Or rather in shock
Thank you very much.
