Hi,

In the process of doing some paid work for some good friends who have been doing music for 50+ years. A fun and funny group of guys and terrific musicians and vocalists. Here's a video I just finished of one of their fave cover songs that they also nail live... "Brandy" (originally by "Looking Glass").

I recorded and mixed and mastered the Audio with Ardour 5.12, my son Connor did the camera work and I synced and edited the Video with Cinelerra-GG, it was the most complicated Video project I've ever done, despite all the bitching about previous versions of CinelerraHV/CV I was able to assemble, edit and render this project effortlessly with not even one glitch or crash, by using 'proxy' files I could smoothly edit 9 tracks of Video and 2 tracks of mixed down Audio on my old Q6600 quad core computer without even a burp!

Picture of Project

Here's the Video: https://youtu.be/6YTO0v8aZzc

Very IMPRESSIVE!!  You do good work putting it all together with the cuts and what looks like transitions. And I really like the red and white USA guitar.

Just found this link since we (GG and me) were not familiar with the Q6600 to learn:

Hi Phyllis!

Haha I would reply that Cin-GG is "very IMPRESSIVE!!"

Actually I don't use any transitions at all, the dissolves are created by simply overlapping the Fade automation from one track to another, it's easy to do and I've always thought that workflow made sense, when I look at and try other NLE's that is the first thing I miss.

Lol, thanks for sharing the bad news about how poorly my 10 year old processor benchmarks today, thankfully I'm not a gamer at all and Cinelerra really doesn't require fancy Video decoding hardware, I'm still very content with this old Desktop even though it's approaching Smithsonian age. It's my 'new' computer! I have a DELL Inspiron laptop with the first 2.0Ghz CoreDuo Centrino 2500 (32bit!) that is about 13 years old and other than 4 new batteries over the years it still is very functional and used regularly.

Very nice. There was maybe just a little too much cutting towards the middle, but overall it was very well mastered and edited.
