Summary0000010: Larger thumbnails in clip tab
DescriptionWith many identical scenes, it is difficult to keep the images apart because of the smaller size of the thumbnails of the clips in the Clip Tab. For different scenes, keeping the images apart is relatively easy, but not for relatively identical scenes.
It would be great if I move the mouse over the thumbnail and then pop up a larger thumbnail. Basically the same function as in the Media Tab, just as a still image. Preview videos would certainly be better, but I think for performance reasons you didn't want to implement this feature. Larger thumbnails would also be good.

Thanks, it works pretty well.

The thumbnails were made larger previously but decided to still add "basically the same function as in the Media Tab, just as a still image" - that is the Preview but without the 5 second playing which would affect performance. Note, that the clips used to be picons, like the plugins, but are now vicons like the videos. So there may be png files from past clips in your $HOME/.bcast5 folder that are still of a different size then your settings. These will get recreated, as do the media thumbnails, when you change the sizes in settings->preferences, appearance. If you have many, it may take more cpu time but we have not found this on our computers to be an issue.

This feature request is not up to date anymore, because I can set the thumbnails larger in general.

We are currently discussing this and hope to come up with some kind of solution but are definitely concerned about performance as these thumbnails have to be rendered in order to show like in Media. I like the idea of a still image instead but do not yet comprehend if this can be done easily.
